Our History

The Little Life Warrior Society (LLWS) is a childhood cancer mutual-support organisation aiming to improve the services for and welfare of children cancer patients, children patients having undergone bone marrow transplant and suffering from severe blood diseases.

The Little Life Warrior Society (LLWS) was established in March 2002 and was registered as a non-profit-making charity organisation named “Little Life Warrior Society Limited” in Hong Kong on 30th November 2009. LLWS was successfully registered in Hong Kong and Mainland China in 2010 and 2013 respectively.

At first, our service target only included children cancer patients, survivors and their parents. Since 2005, our service target has been extended to children patients and survivors having undergone bone marrow transplant and suffering from severe blood diseases as well as their parents.

LLWS is currently the only registered childhood haematology and cancer mutual-support organisation in Hong Kong. To date, we are serving over 4,000 members. With the opening of the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH), the management of child cancer patients was centralised. The merger of the five organisations has been completed (including “Little Life Warrior Society” at the Prince of Wales Hospital, “Walk with Children” from Queen Elizabeth Hospital, “Sunshine Parents Club” from Queen Mary Hospital, and the patient organisations from Princess Margaret Hospital and Tuen Mun Hospital), and continue to use the name of Little Life Warrior Society. The centralisation of resources will allow our organisation to deliver our services more efficiently to little warriors and their families.

Patient Service is our core mission. We provide game and music services regularly in Hong Kong Children's Hospital on Monday and Tuesday respectively, matching suitable survivors to visit and share with those who are newly diagnosed and aligning with our vision of "Working Together to Win the Battle against Cancer, Living a Better Life and Giving Back to the Community"

Personal Information Collection Statement

Little Life Warrior Society ("LLWS") collects and uses your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

Purpose

Your personal data is collected by LLWS for the purposes of:

1. Processing, administering and communicating with you regarding any donations made by you to LLWS;

2. conducting research and generating statistics to enhance LLWS’s services and activities;

3. communicating with you in response to any queries or complaints submitted by you or in relation to your donations;

4. informing you (subject to your consent) of campaigns, activities and fundraising appeals relating to LLWS’s programmes;

5. complying with applicable laws or regulations.

Transfer and Disclosure

LLWS shall only transfer and disclose your personal data to service providers (within or outside Hong Kong) of LLWS to enable them to send to you (subject to your consent) marketing materials described in paragraph 4 above solely on behalf of LLWS, and to provide back-end, administrative, communication, or IT services to LLWS (including but not limited to payment gateways for credit card processing, research companies for donor satisfaction surveys, and agents to make promotional and pledge donation calls on behalf of LLWS). LLWS does not provide your personal data to any third party for the purposes of enabling that third party to market its own products or services to you.
