Children with cancer suffer from hair loss as they have to receive various treatments or have difficulty in taking care of their hair due to long-term treatment. Since they always need to return to the hospital and they may not be suitable to have a hair cut in public hair salons owing to their poor health condition. Therefore, the Society launched hair cut service in the wards by inviting volunteer hair stylists to do hair cut for hospitalized children patients according to their needs. This helps alleviate the disturbance caused when their hair grows long but they are not able to take care of them.
